The construction fence was installed on Friday, February 20. A porta-potty is on site, and PCC intends to have a small trailer as well. To shield these items, opaque mesh will be hung on three bays of the fence on the Locust Street side, and two bays on the north side. The construction work will be visible through the rest of the fence.
Demolition of the cottage is underway. The irrigation company has removed their equipment, and the concrete block bunker has been removed. The former Gator parking area is being removed. Most of the siding is removed from the cottage. A dumpster has been temporarily placed on site.
The yew bushes were too old and their roots were too entwined to transplant. Most of them have been removed.
The changeover to temporary electric was done on Monday, February 23. Park lighting is now controlled through a temporary electric panel in a gray metal standing box mounted on the concrete turn-around west of the cottage.
